6. Religion vs. Relationship - James 1:26-27

This section of the bible we learned to be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry. Then we learned that listening isn’t enough, we must do the bible. Today we learn that doing isn’t enough if our hearts aren’t pure.

Our words (what we say), our hands (what we do), and our hearts (what we believe) must be aligned and work together as a demonstration of our faith.

First we must know the difference between RELIGION and RELATIONSHIP

James 1: 26-27

Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
